About me and this blog...
Greetings! You, the traveller of the time or the explorer of the cyberspace or the recruiter of top technical talents. You are most probably in the wrong place. But since we are here, let me introduce my self.
I am Janindu (27M), an mediocre developer from Sri Lanka, with a barely completed university degree in CS and half baked theories on a lot of niche topics and a dying ambition of becoming a researcher of Computational Neuroscience and Neurotech. I am currently working in integration domain in a fintech company as a software engineer, and have previously worked as a research assistant at University of Colombo School of Computing and as an embedded software engineer for a short while.
I am writting this section with a thought of this site becoming a tech blog or something simillar. And I may be wrong and this could be the only post on this site. But if I am right, This will include posts about my interests including but not limited to,
- Software Development and Programming (Mostly Python, since it is the language I use at my job, and low level and concurrent languages I am experimenting with like C++ or Erlang.)
- Electronics and Embedded Systems (Arduino, ESP, STM32 programming, Signal acqusition devices, DSPs, analog electronics, and RF.)
- Machine learning (Especially on my attempts on running ML inference on low resource/edge devices)
- Brain Machine Interfaces (EEG and other Bio Signal acquisition and my experiments about them, machine learning on them.)
- Signal Processing
- Linux (🐧)
- Computer Science, Control Systems, Cybernetics, Psychology and Neuroscience (And anything I find interesting.)
My actual motive of starting this is actually clearing up my thoughts and start writting things somewhere. Even though this is publicly accessible, this may carry the duty of a journal and may be little unfiltered in some cases. I feel like I should’ve started this long ago, but in the dunes of eternity, any comprehensible amount of time is negligible. So I am starting this today and it won’t make much difference to the purpose of my existence. I am sorry that, if you couldn’t digest the amount of cringe that I just caused from last two sentences. Get ready for lot of those because I am currently planning and working on my most ambitious project (a very low cost, noob friendly, DIY EEG kit for students and enthusiasts, I have block diagrams and component list currently, in case you are wondering the progress) and I am going to write that down. Until then, Farewell!
May the force be with you!
